Eriberto Guidi nasce il 21 marzo 1930 a Fermo nelle Marche dove vive e lavora. Si dedica alla fotografia dalla fine degli anni ’50, quando inizia a collaborare con l’amico Luigi Crocenzi per il Centro Cultura Fotografia, partecipando nel 1957 al Festival Mondiale di Mosca. Inizia la sua attività nel campo del reportage e del racconto fotografico, privilegiando l’uso dell’immagine come vera e propria scrittura. Con queste basi realistiche comincia il suo percorso espressivo approdando ad una visione più onirica identificabile nei suoi lavori sul paesaggio, dove vengono a confluire elementi diversi, come certe regole derivate dal suo grande amore per la musica e la pittura; Immagini di queste ricerche arrivano alla pagine di “Life”. E’ autore di libri fotografici e le sue fotografie sono pubblicate su cataloghi della fotografia, testi scolastici, riviste specializzate e periodici italiani e stranieri. Numerose le sue personali in Italia e all’estero (Copenaghen, Parigi, Bordeaux, Bruxelles, Mosca, New York). Nel 1981 collabora, con una serie di sue immagini, alla realizzazione del film per la Rai “Il segno e il paesaggio”. Nel 1993 è nominato Maestro di fotografia dalla Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche. Fototeche e Musei italiani e stranieri conservano raccolte di sue opere.
				Eriberto Guidi is born on the 21st of March 1930 in Fermo, Marches, still resident and working there. He has been applying himself to photography since 1950s when he starts to team up with his friend Luigi Crocenzi for the “CENTRO CULTURA FOTOGRAFIA”. In 1957 he took part in the Worldwide Photographic Festival in Moscow. He started dealing with report and photographic relations, considering the image as a very true form of writing. Beginning from, that, his expressive route comes to a more dream-like idea that may be found in his works on landscape where different elements are melted, as for example, certain rules derived from his great love for music and painting; images of such studies are published in “LIFE”. He is author of many photographic books and his photos have been published in catalogues dealing with phofography, schoolbooks and specialized magazines, both italian and foreign, among which: “ALMANACCO LETTERARIO BOMPIANI”, “LIFE” editions of New York, Tokio and Amsterdam, “NEW TIMES” of Moscow. He has taken part many exhibitions both in Italy and abroad: Copenhagen, Paris, Bordeaux, Brussels, Moscow, New York. In 1981 he contributed with his photos to the making of the film “IL SEGNO E IL PAESAGGIO” broadcasted by the RAI. In 1993, he was appointed Master of Photography by the “FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA ASSOCIAZIONI FOTOGRAFICHE”. His works are still gathered in many museums, photographic libraries and archives.
